DEW DROPS NURSERY

Dear Visitor,
 We would like to thank you for your interest in DEW DROPS NURSERY. The purpose of this Blog is to provide parents with information on the Organization and aims of our school. Having read it, we hope you will have gained some insight into the learning opportunities experienced by the young child and the context in which those experiences are offered.

It has rightly been said that “The way a twig is bent, a tree is inclined.” The importance of early childhood education cannot be undermined; the formative years, 0-5 in children are the most significant years in child-development. What a child learns at this stage can greatly enhance his/her overall educational process and plays a vital role in the successful progression of all his/her future education endeavors.

OUR AIM IS:   To provide high quality care and education of children below statutory School age in a parent- involving, community based group; . To work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop; . To provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment; . To add to the life and well – being of the local community and . To work within a framework which ensures quality of opportunity for all children and families.

                         STAFF / MANAGEMENT:
DEW DROPS NURSERY believes that care and education are equally important in the experience that we offer children. All children are given the opportunity to experience a wide range of opportunities, at their own level and we plan for the room following the interests of the children as specified in the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. We aim to nurture, stimulate and motivate children so they can develop to their full potential. We believe that play is very important to how children learn, and offer activities and experiences alongside this in order to balance the play centered curriculum. All children will be encouraged to socialize, but at the same time become independent and confident. Children who attend Dew Drops Nursery are motivated, caring, well developed and confident individuals, who are well prepared for starting school.

 * Our aim is to provide outstanding early years education for          children through creative play and learning experiences in a        happy and relaxed atmosphere.   
 * We provide a diverse curriculum based on Early Years      Foundation Stage.
 * We encourage children to learn about different cultures in great      detail by celebrating global days and sharing different traditions      from around the world.
* We want children to feel excited about learning and aim to give      them a positive first experience of life at Dew Drops Nursery      through inspirational experiences.     

SCHOOL BUILDING:

Dew Drops Nursery is situated in a very easy to reach location at Al Wakra Doha Qatar with convenient parking space. The premises is built up of 500 Sq Mt. Using International English language and play study with unique techniques of activities and games under the supervision of qualified management to help children develop skills and value in each and every child by individual attention (Play with Purpose).

The designated areas within the school premises include:  Large Covered play area with Toys & Games.  Auditorium equipped with Visual & Sound systems.  Sleeping Room.  Activity room includes early year’s educational resources.  Classrooms having colourful and spacious seating arrangements with individual toilets.  Nursing room for health check ups. Kitchen equipped for keeping eatables in the right temperature (Under staff handling only) Office.






                                        DAYCARE:
Dew Drops Nursery provides full and part-time daycare for infants, toddlers and pre-school children at our fully equipped nursery. Our nursery is a multi functional unit providing wrap around care for a wide range of children from 1 year old to 4 ½ yrs from one easy to reach central location at Al-Wakra.

Our dedicated baby room is housed in its own building on site and offers a safe, cosy environment. Our adjacent main nursery provides an integrated space where our 1- 4 ½ yrs old are provided with a variety of structured play opportunities as part of the foundation stage curriculum.

Our kids are looked after by a fully qualified team of staff specializing in the care of this age range who ensure that the transition from our baby room to the main nursery is as smooth a process as possible. The nursery is structured to provide areas which supports the specific development of the toddlers although they are also free to use the provision across the whole nursery area. Our status means that we can offer a continuous provision across the day and also focused foundation activities / sessions that run through out the day.

We also undertake that parents are always kept informed about their child’s welfare, achievements and behaviour on an ongoing basis.
